Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to trace in connection with a robbery. The incident happened on Tuesday, October 2 between 7.20pm and 7.30pm on the front steps of County Hall, in Leicester Road, Glenfield. The victim was skateboarding with his friend when he was approached by a teenager who asked him for the time before demanding his mobile phone. The victim said he didn't have one and was assaulted. He then handed over his Sony Ericsson K810i phone. The suspect is described as white, aged between 17 and 18-years-old with short light brown spiky hair. He was wearing a light blue hooded top, white trainers with a blue stripe down the side and had a stud in his left eyebrow. PC Mike Smith from Blaby local policing unit said: "Do you recognise the person in the CCTV image? Were you in the area at the time of the incident? Did you see anything suspicious? If so we need to speak to you. Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, may help us with our enquiries." Anyone with information is asked to contact PC 1786 Mike Smith on 0116 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for an officer and when prompted key in his identification number 1786.
