Police are appealing for information about the theft of a guinea pig from a hutch in the garden of a house in Kidderminster.

The guinea pig, worth £20, is called Sheep because she is white and fluffy. She is described as having a fluffy ridge along her back and a dark patch over one eye. She has blue eyes and is four years old.

She was stolen from a hutch in the garden of a house in Merlin Drive, Kidderminster, between Saturday evening, 29th December and Sunday evening, 30th December.

The offenders climbed over a 6ft fence and took Sheep but left behind another guinea pig, Fudge. She is more timid and her owner believes she would have hidden.

The owner, who does not want to be named, said: "Sheep is a much loved family pet and we're devastated."

The owner is offering a reward for information leading to the guinea pig's safe return.

Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Kidderminster Police on 08457 444888 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
