  • Robber threatens hairdresser with scissors: Alexander's, Mayhill

    South Wales Police in Swansea are appealing for information following a robbery which occurred at Alexander's Hairdressers Mayhill Road, Mayhill at about 3pm on Wednesday 28th July.

    A 21 year old female member of staff was tending to a customer when the male suspect walked into the shop.

  • Ongoing appeal as police arrest men for murder of Daniel Smith: Paddington, W9

    Police investigating the murder of 22-year-old Daniel Smith have today, Thursday 29 July, arrested a 23-year old man on suspicion of murder.

    Daniel was shot in the early hours of Saturday 22 May in Harrow Road, near the junction with Sutherland Avenue, Paddington, W9.

    Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene but he died at 00:53hrs.

  • Gardai appeal following shooting of Anthony Mc Donagh and Ciaran Mc Donagh: Cabra

    Gardai at Cabra Garda Station investigating the shooting of Anthony Mc Donagh and Ciaran Mc Donagh are seeking the public's assistance.

    The incident occurred at 9.10am on the morning of Thursday the 15th of July 2010 on the River Road, between Finglas and Ashtown (two weeks ago tomorrow morning).

  • Murder inquiry underway after stabbing victim dies in hospital: Edmonton, N18

    Police were called at approx. 20.05hrs on Monday 26 July re: the incident in Dysons Road N18.

    A man aged 43 years was found collapsed outside a house, having been stabbed.

    He was taken to Royal London Hospital but was confirmed dead shortly after arrival.

    A post-mortem will be scheduled in due course.

  • Taxi driver robbed at knifepoint by three youths: Wythall

    Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a taxi driver was robbed at knifepoint by three youths near Wythall.

    It happened after the taxi driver was ordered to stop in The Fordrough, off Trueman's Heath Lane, shortly after picking up the males a few miles away in Halifax Road, Shirley, at about 10pm on Wednesday, July 21.

    Police are offering a £20,000 reward a year on from the murder of Nathan Williams in New Cross.

    Nathan Williams, 24 (24.5.85) from Kennington, died after he was shot several times in Ludwick Mews, SE14 on 28 July 2009.

  • Security staff filling cash machines targeted by armed robbers: Santander, Atherton

    At about 11.50pm on Monday 27 July 2010, two men smashed their way into the Santander bank on Market Place, Atherton, where security staff were filling cash machines.

    The pair, who were armed with axes, threatened two men and demanded cash.

    At this time a passing police officer drove past the bank and was approached by a third man who was armed with a pickaxe.

  • Robber armed with knife fought off by 60-year-old man using crutches: Raincliffe Woods

    Police in Scarborough are seeking information following an attempted robbery which occurred in the Raincliffe Woods area of the town on Thursday 15 July 2010.

    The attempted robbery occurred between 11.30am and 12noon when a 60-year-old man using crutches was approached by a man who threatened him with a knife and demanded that he hand over his wallet.

  • Appeal after teenage woman sustains serious injury in scythe attack: Rugby

    Police in Rugby investigating a serious assault in Rugby on an 18 year old woman on Thursday 22 July, are appealing for help to trace two witnesses.

    The assault took place at around 9.15pm on Thursday 22 July in Edward Street, Rugby, near to the Territorial Army Centre, when a male carrying a garden instrument namely a scythe, attacked the woman, causing her serious injury.

  • Man uses dog lead and two dogs to attack victim: Park Road North, Houghton Regis

    Bedfordshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a man used a dog lead and his two dogs to carry out an assault on his victim.

    The offence happened at 6.15pm on Tuesday (July 13) in Park Road North, Houghton Regis, where a man in his thirties was approached by a male walking two dogs.

    Police investigating a robbery of a 26-year old man in Highfields are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

    The incident took place at approximately 7.30pm on Thursday July 22 in Leicester Street, Highfields.

    The victim was walking along the street when three men approached him and asked for his phone.

    Police are appealing for witnesses after a plucky 64-year-old Pelsall shopkeeper sustained stab and slash wounds to his head, shoulder and hand when he tried to prevent two callous offenders from robbing his store.

    The incident occurred at about 7:30am on Saturday 24 July at Londis Stores and Newsagents in Norton Road, Pelsall.

  • Five masked offenders sought as officers discover man stabbed twelve times: Stockport

    A man is seriously injured in hospital after he was stabbed 12 times in Stockport.

    At 1:30am on Monday 26 July 2010, police received reports of an assault at a house on Astbury Crescent.

    Officers attended and discovered a 21-year-old man with several stab wounds to his body.

    He was taken to hospital where he is currently receiving treatment for 12 stab wounds.

  • Four teenagers camping in tent robbed at knifepoint: Keresley End

    Four teenagers were threatened by a man with what is believed to have been a knife as they camped on land in Keresley End, Coventry in the early hours of yesterday morning, Sunday July 25.

    The incident happened at about 02.15hrs on a grassed area in Somers Road.

  • Robbers armed with stun-gun escape with Blackberries in bin liners: T-mobile, Lakeside

    Detectives have appealed for information following an armed robbery at a mobile phone shop at Lakeside shopping centre.

    Two men entered the T-Mobile shop at about 10am on Friday, July 16 and threatened three members of staff with what is thought to have been a stun gun.
