  • Travel agent staff distressed following knifepoint robbery: Prestatyn

    Police are appealing for information after a Prestatyn travel agents was subjected to a robbery.

    At about 5pm yesterday, Tuesday 9th March, officers were called to a report of a robbery at the travel agents on Nant Hall Road, near to the High Street in Prestatyn.

    The man threatened staff with a knife, before leaving with a small amount of cash.

    Officers need to speak to the man in connection with a shooting incident on Sunday, February 21, during the early hours of the morning.

    The incident happened outside the Déjà vu Club in High Town Road after a large number of people left the venue.

  • Appeal after man and woman take mobile and laptop at knifepoint: Luton

    Police in Luton are appealing for information from the public after a 25 year old man was robbed of his mobile telephone and laptop computer on Wednesday, March 10.

    The incident happened at approximately 2.45pm in Russell Rise as the victim walked home speaking to a member of his family on his mobile telephone.

    Detectives in Luton are appealing for information after a 24-year-old woman's handbag was taken from her in Dallow Road on Saturday (Mar 6).

    The victim was walking close to the Runley Road junction at approximately 6.55pm when a man approached her from behind and took the handbag which contained a mobile telephone, cash, bank cards and some jewellery.

    Police are hunting violent robbers who slashed a shopkeeper's hands with a machete.

    Shortly before 1pm on Wednesday 10 March 2010, the 53-year-old victim was in the back room of the newsagents on New Lane, Peel Green, Salford.

    He returned to the shop front and was confronted by four men who were trying to steal his till.

    Strathclyde Police is appealing for witnesses after a 74-year-old woman was assaulted in Cumbernauld on Thursday 11 March 2010.

    Around 11.10am on Thursday, the woman left her house in Abbotsford Place to meet her daughter at the bus stop in Greenfaulds Road.

    South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery that happened on Prince of Wales Road, Swansea at about 6.55pm on Tuesday 9th March.

    The 34 year old victim was returning to his silver coloured Toyota Avensis car when he was approached and threatened by two males.

  • Five men tied up by robbers carrying hammers and pick axes: Rochdale

    Between 4.45am and 5.25am on Saturday 27 February 2010, four men broke into a flat above a restaurant on Heywood Old Road, Rochdale.

    They tied up the men who were asleep in the flat and searched the place, stealing cash, mobile phones and computers.

    A black left hand drive BMW with Czech registration plates 4T 82345 was also stolen.

    Detectives in Chelmsford have issued a CCTV picture of an armed robber who stole from a Co-op in Chelmsford.

    A man entered the store in Melbourne Parade on Thursday, March 4 armed with a gun and forced staff to hand over cash from the tills.

    The incident happened at about 9.45pm.

  • Appeal after knifepoint robbery at the Moo Cafe: Canonmills

    Lothian and Borders Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at knifepoint at an Edinburgh café.

    The incident happened around 5.30pm yesterday (7th March) at the Moo Café in Brandon Terrace.

    Two men entered the café before one of them presented a knife and demanded that a laptop behind the counter was handed over along with a sum of cash.

  • Appeal after ginger tom cat Jasper shot with pellets: Stroud

    Police in Stroud are appealing to local residents for information after a pet cat was shot with pellets in the Barrowfield Road area of the town.

    Jasper, a ginger tom cat, was injured at some time during the evening of Friday March 5 in open land at the back Barrowfield Road.

    It's thought that he was shot with two pellets.

  • Woman hit in face with glass in pub: New Inn, Middleton

    At about 1am on Sunday 28 February 2010, the 21-year-old Middleton woman was in the New Inn, on Long Street, Middleton, when she went to help a woman who had been knocked to the floor in a minor disturbance.

    As she was helping her, a man hit her in the left side of the face with a glass and punched and kicked her, before leaving the pub.

  • Man in hospital following shooting in Horse and Jockey: Stockport

    Just after 9pm on Monday 8 March 2010, police were called to the Horse and Jockey pub on London Road, Stockport by the ambulance service.

    Officers arrived and found a 42-year-old man had been shot in the chest and left arm.

    A man dressed in a balaclava and dark clothes had gone into the pub brandishing a shotgun and fired the weapon at the victim.

  • McDonald's staff closing restaurant forced to re-open at knifepoint: Spalding

    This offence was committed between 2:00am and 2:30am today, Tuesday 9th March 2010 at McDonalds Restaurant, Holbeach Road, Spalding.  

    A 21-year-old member of staff was securing the restaurant when he was approached by two men wearing balaclavas and dark clothing.

    He was threatened with a knife and forced to unlock the premises.

    Officers investigating the murder of 18-year-old Wahab Zaaki in Walthamstow are conducting anniversary appeals a year after his death.

    Wahab was fatally stabbed following an altercation with a group of youths.
