    Police discovered a 30-plant cannabis factory after executing a warrant at a farm in Thornton.

    Operations support officers, acting on community intelligence, swooped on the farm in Fleetwood Road South at 11am on Thursday 22 July.

    The cannabis factory was discovered in a concealed room in the eaves of a brick barn.

    Police executed the warrant on King Street at about 9.50pm on Tuesday 15 June 2010, and seized a mobile phone converted to work as a stun gun stashed in a kitchen cupboard.

    Acting on information received, they carried out a search warrant at a house in Barnard Street, Blyth, on Wednesday morning, June 2, and found the cannabis farm.

    Enquiries are currently being carried out to trace the tenant of the house.
