  • Woman hit in face with glass in pub: New Inn, Middleton

    At about 1am on Sunday 28 February 2010, the 21-year-old Middleton woman was in the New Inn, on Long Street, Middleton, when she went to help a woman who had been knocked to the floor in a minor disturbance.

    As she was helping her, a man hit her in the left side of the face with a glass and punched and kicked her, before leaving the pub.

  • McDonald's staff closing restaurant forced to re-open at knifepoint: Spalding

    This offence was committed between 2:00am and 2:30am today, Tuesday 9th March 2010 at McDonalds Restaurant, Holbeach Road, Spalding.  

    A 21-year-old member of staff was securing the restaurant when he was approached by two men wearing balaclavas and dark clothing.

    He was threatened with a knife and forced to unlock the premises.

    Wahab was fatally stabbed following an altercation with a group of youths.

  • Man found with head injuries after African pub party: Sneinton

    Police investigating an assault, which left a 42-year-old man with head injuries, believe his attackers had been at a party for Nottingham's African community.

    The victim was hit with a glass bottle after being set upon by three men inside the Rainbow Pub, Carlton Road, Sneinton, at around 2am, on Sunday 7 March.

    Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses following a murder in Walthamstow.

    Police were called at approximately 22:25hrs on Sunday 7 March to reports of a man stabbed outside the Captain Fish and Chip Shop at Cleveland Park Avenue at its junction with High Street, E17.

  • Staff shocked after knifepoint robbery at superstore: Luton

    Detectives in Luton are appealing for information after a knife point robbery happened this morning, Sunday March 7.

    The incident happened at the Nisa Superstore in Axe Close at approximately 0710am.

    A man walked in to the store and up to the counter.

    He then threatened the shop assistant with a knife and forced her to open the till from where he took an unknown amount of cash.

  • Local man sustains laceration to cheek in street assault: Weymouth

    Detectives in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a man was assaulted in the town centre.

    The incident, in which a 30-year-old Weymouth man sustained a laceration to his cheek, happened in the Great George Street area between midnight and 12.20am on Sunday, 7 March 2010.

    Violent armed robbery at Co-op, CCTV issued: Eastbourne

    Police have released a CCTV still of two men they are keen to identify in connection with an armed robbery at the Co-op store in Eastbourne at 9.30pm on Friday, 26 February, in which a member of staff was assaulted.

    The CCTV clip shows one suspect in the foreground holding a knife with a gloved hand and wearing a dark green/grey camouflage style jacket with hood.

  • Men with screwdriver strike twice in possibly linked robberies: Harrogate

    Police in Harrogate are seeking witnesses following two robberies which occurred in the town on Tuesday 2 March.

    The first robbery occurred at 9.18pm when two men entered William Hills bookmakers on Leeds Road.

    The men threatened staff with a screwdriver and stole a quantity of money, before making off towards Hookstone Road.

    Police need the public's help to identify these people, who are wanted in connection with a city centre attack, which left two people with stab wounds.

    The individuals, who were out as a group, were captured on CCTV hanging around the corner of St James' Street and Beastmarket Hill, at around 2.30am Saturday February 27, 2010.

    Police are appealing for information after a 20-year-old man was seriously injured after being stabbed in the back.

    The victim was attacked in Lavender Walk, St Ann's, Nottingham, at around 3.38am Saturday February 27.

    Men armed with axe and hammer rob betting shop: Clayton

    At about 6.30pm on Monday 1 March 2010, two men went into the William Hill shop on Ashton New Road, armed with an axe and hammer.

    They smashed the security glass that normally separates staff from customers.

    Two women, who had been working in the shop, ran for the toilets and were pursued by the robbers.

  • Woman found with stab wounds to head and body: Rochdale

    Police want to speak to anyone who saw an assault outside a Rochdale house.

    At about 10pm on Saturday, 20 February 2010, a 37-year-old woman was attacked by a man and a woman on Whitehall Street.

    The victim went to Rochdale Infirmary where she was treated for stab wounds to the head and body.

    She has since been discharged from hospital.

    South Wales Police are appealing for information in relation to an aggravated burglary that occurred in Crwys Road, Cardiff on Monday 1st March at approximately 12:50am.

    The occupants of the flat were at home when three men forced entry to the rear of the flat.

  • Discount shop staff bound and threatened with scissors during robbery: Belfast

    Detectives are appealing for information about a robbery at Boucher Retail Park, South Belfast

    At around 4.50pm on Tuesday 2 March a man entered a discount shop and into an office area where he threatened a male employee aged in his 20s with a pair of scissors before tying him up.

    The thief stole a large sum of cash from a safe in the office and made his escape on foot.
