Following further investigation (and observations) this incident is now being attributed to a large heron, which is believed to be responsible.

The crime appeal has accordingly been cancelled by Suffolk Police.

Original appeal - 08.01.2009 14:00

Twenty-seven Koi Carp and seven large goldfish were stolen from a pond in the back garden of a home at The Parklands in Carlton Colville between 10am on Saturday 3 and 11am on Tuesday 6 January.

Among the fish taken were:

  • an Orange Fantail Koi Carp that was around 3ft long
  • three Ghost Koi Carp
  • a Gold Koi
  • a white/orange Koi

Did you see anything suspicious in the area between these times or have you been offered any similar fish since?
