  • Band's van complete with instruments, equipment and personal effects stolen: Lichfield

    Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a band's van containing all their equipment was stolen from Lichfield.

    The offenders stole the van, a white Mercedes Sprinter registration BD52 ARO, between 11.30pm on Sunday 29 January and 6.30am on Monday 30 January from Curborough Road.

    It belongs to Midlands-based band The Musgraves.

    Police are appealing for information after thieves stole a speed boat and jet skis from a home in Telford.

    The theft took place at a property in Stoney Hill in Lightmoor some time between 9.15am and 2.30pm on Friday.(27 January)

    Police are appealing for information in a bid to trace property stolen during a burglary.

    The incident happened at an address near Wymondham between 29 December 2011 and 5 January 2012.

    Suspect(s) entered a garage and stole a number of items and Ferrari accessories.

    Reward offered after yellow paint thrown over much loved statue: Scarborough (£500 Reward)

    A Scarborough business man has offered a £500 reward for information which leads to the arrest and charge of the people responsible for throwing paint over the statue of Freddie Gilroy which overlooks North Bay in Scarborough.

    Police received a call from a member of the public at 8.15pm last night reporting that yellow paint had been thrown over the giant statue.

    Junior hawthorn bushes worth hundreds of pounds have been stolen from a freshly planted hedgerow near to Llanddowror.

    Up to 96 plants have been pulled out some time between Christmas Eve and Wednesday 18th January 2012.

    Appeal after rear of car smashed by distinctive bowling ball: Leedon

    Bedfordshire Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a car was damaged by a ten pin bowling ball in the early hours of this morning (January 24).

    Officers were called to Victoria Terrace, Hockliffe Road, Leighton Buzzard at 3.30am after the victim's silver Peugeot 206 had the rear window and tailgate smashed.

    Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following the theft of a flock of sheep from a field in the North Somerset area.

    The 28 sheep - consisting of black and white faced yews - were taken from a field off the A370 between the Puxton turn-off and Congresbury at Hewish, near to the former Beacon Works office/industrial building.

  • Concern grows following theft of hibernating tortoises from rail station: Lincoln Central

    British Transport Police (BTP) is appealing for information after a car - containing two valuable hibernating tortoises - was stolen from Lincoln Central station earlier today, Saturday 14 Janaury 2012.

    Between 11.30am and 1.00pm a green Mazda 325 car - with a P prefix registration - was stolen from the long stay car park of the station.

  • Theft of shopping trolleys leaves Asda with £32,000 bill: Bromsgrove

    Police are appealing for information about the theft of more than 300 trolleys from a North Worcestershire supermarket.

    Asda reported around 320 trolleys being stolen from its Bromsgrove store over the course of a month between 17 November and 17 December.

    The trolleys are worth around £100 each, leaving the supermarket with a £32,000 bill.

    Surrey Police is appealing for information after a life-sized fibre glass camel was stolen in East Molesey.

    The theft occurred sometime between 1am and 11am on Monday (9 January) from the back yard of a property in Bridge Road.

    Entry was gained by forcing the lock on the back gate.

    Public asked to help identify man taking illegal possession of whale remains: Old Hunstanton

    Police in Norfolk are continuing to make enquiries into reports of the illegal possession of whale remains.

    The sperm whale was found washed up on the beach at Old Hunstanton on Christmas Eve.

    Officers are keen to speak to the man pictured in connection withan incident photographed on the beach on Christmas Eve at about midday on 24 December.

  • Appeal following theft of hot tub from back garden: Rose Fold, Thornton

    Police are appealing for information following the theft of a hot tub from a house in Thornton.

    Sometime between 1 and 4 November 2011, somebody has entered the rear garden of a property on Rose Fold by removing the back fence before stealing the hot tub.

    Police are now appealing for anybody with any information about the theft to come forward.

  • Stone Shihtzu dog, bird bath, garden gnomes and toadstool taken from garden: Jarrow

    Information is being sought after several garden ornaments were stolen from a house in Jarrow.

    Between 3pm, on Friday, January 6 and 9.30am, on Saturday, January 7, thieves gained entry to a rear garden at an address on Epinay Walk.

    They made off with the ornaments which consisted of stone a Shihtzu dog; a metal bird bath; two garden gnomes and a toadstool.

  • Complete 5 foot high fence stolen from the rear of Acorns Day Nursery: Newbiggin-by-the-Sea

    Police are appealing for information after a fence was stolen from a nursery in Newbiggin.

    Between 6pm Thursday, November 17, and 7:30am on Friday, November 18, thieves stole the full length, 5ft high, fence from the rear of the Acorns Nursery in East Lea.

  • Homer Simpson slippers taken in £13,000 Shoe Zone burglary: Kidderminster

    Police are asking people to be alert at car boot sales and markets after shoes and slippers worth more than £13,000 were stolen from a Kidderminster store in the run up to Christmas.

    It is thought the thieves may try to sell the goods on cheaply after stealing them from Shoe Zone in Vicar Street.
