    Thieves who burgled a house and stole several kittens have returned them following a police appeal.

    Thieves broke into a property on Essex Avenue in Jaywick between 10pm on Thursday, July 22 and 2am on Friday, July 23 and stole some jewellery and five one-day-old kittens.

    Detectives appealed for their return as they would die without their mother.

    Police are appealing for witnesses following a spate of criminal damage on the site of the Queen Elizabeth Community College in Western Road, Crediton.

    The damage was caused over night on Saturday 17th July and Sunday 18th July, during which seventeen mini buses parked in the car park of the upper school site had all of their registration plates pulled off and cracked.

    Between 1.30pm on Sunday, July 18, and 1.30pm on Wednesday, July 21, thieves stole a Pawtrekker dog scooter from the garden of a property in Carnaby Close, Prudhoe.

    A hard plastic tennis ball was thrown at the window of a first floor flat at the rear of a two storey block of flats, causing it to smash.

    A road sign with the village name has been stolen from near the church.

    Eye Road, Rishangles between 3.30pm 17/07/10 and 10am 19/07/10.

    Twenty-five bales of hay have been stolen from a barn.

  • 3 1/2 tonnes of clover and grass seed stolen from barn: North Wootton Farm, Sherborne

    Police in Sherborne are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after the theft of a large quantity of seed from a farm in the North Wootton area of the town.

    Between 10am on Tuesday, 13 July and 7am on Wednesday, 14 July 2010, thieves stole 120 bags of grass seed and 140 bags of clover seed from an open barn at North Wootton Farm.

    Luton detectives are looking for three burglars who stole six puppies from an address in Luton last Saturday night, 17 July 2010.

    At approximately 9.30pm, a 35-year-old man was asleep in his house in Dallow Road, Luton, when he was woken by the sound of his front door being forced open.

    Between 7.30pm Sunday July 18 and 7.45am on Monday, July 19, thieves broke into a number of allotments in Laverock Place, Blyth, and stole a number of birds from inside before making off unseen.

    At 5.00pm on Friday 16th July, Police and the Ambulance service were called to a report of a male having been injured in a fire at an address in Blagdon, Paignton.

    On arrival a male was found suffering from burns having apparently set fire to himself whilst lighting a bonfire using accelerant in the garden of the property.

    Stroud Police are currently investigating reports that a dog injured two alpacas at an address in Minchinhampton.

    At around 6pm on Tuesday July 13 a dog jumped over the wall at an address in Windmill Road and injured the two animals, one of which had to be taken to the vet to be treated for a flesh wound.
